Coriana was developed for high-density groves: olives harvested promptly and processed immediately in the olive mill make it possible to obtain an oil with remarkable oxidative stability and a distinctive character. The high quality of Coriana extra virgin olive oil is achieved through the use of the Moliden Leone. system.
This cultivar, designed to maximise both quality and productivity, guarantees uniform ripening together with a harvesting window similar to that of the Arbequina cultivar.

The Coriana monovarietal
Olive oil from the Coriana cultivar is characterised by a distinctly green and herbaceous aromatic profile, enriched by notes of aromatic herbs. When harvested early, it develops pronounced green sensations that may evolve into elegant tomato notes.
The oil displays excellent organoleptic quality, combining lively fruitiness with marked yet harmonious bitterness and pungency.
Overall, Coriana is a vibrant extra virgin olive oil distinguished by green fruitiness and a structured sensory intensity.
Origin of the Coriana monovarietal
The Coriana variety was selected by the University of Bari in collaboration with international breeding programmes as part of a plant genetic improvement project involving controlled crossbreeding, selection, and multi-year, multi-site testing. The objective was to develop new stable cultivars with desired characteristics such as controlled vigour, productivity, and refined sensory profiles.
